Coaching reporting in the Boon portal
Every Boon coaching customer gets a live reporting portal. HR and program admins sign in to see coaching usage, participant satisfaction, wellbeing, coaching themes, and, for Grow, competency growth measured before and after the program. Reports can also be exported as a PDF Coaching Impact Report. The portal never shows what is said in coaching sessions.
What does Boon coaching reporting show?
- Scale (1:1 coaching for every employee): adoption, sessions booked and completed, repeat users, sessions per user, NPS, coach satisfaction, and satisfaction, productivity, and work-life balance compared with the starting baseline.
- Grow (manager development): sessions delivered, leaders coached, programs completed, NPS, coach satisfaction, and the share of participants who want to continue. Competency scores from matched before and after assessments on your own competencies, with overall improvement and the competencies that grew most.
- Exec, Together, and Adapt: sessions, participants, NPS, coach satisfaction, and coaching themes on the same dashboard.
Wellbeing scores from the survey participants take before coaching starts (satisfaction, productivity, balance, motivation, and inclusion) are shown next to Boon benchmarks. Every program shows coaching themes: what people are working on, grouped into areas.
Exporting a coaching impact report
- A PDF Coaching Impact Report, filtered by time period and program: key metrics, a monthly sessions trend, top areas of growth, top coaching themes, and anonymized participant quotes.
- A session CSV with participant, coach, date, program, and duration, for Grow, Exec, Together, and Adapt. Scale has no individual-level export.
AI summaries of coaching programs
The dashboard includes a short AI-written summary of the program: usage, themes, satisfaction, and, for Grow, competency change. Admins can download it. Boon's AI features run on structured program data, never session audio or transcripts. See how Boon coaching AI features use employee data.
What HR cannot see in coaching reports
- Session content is never shown. Boon does not record or transcribe coaching sessions.
- A coaching theme appears only once at least five people have raised it, and sensitive personal topics such as health, family, finances, and grief are never named.
- On program pages, NPS, satisfaction, and survey themes appear only after at least three responses. Individual survey answers are not shared with the employer.
- Scale reporting is anonymous at the individual level. For Grow and Exec, admins see each participant’s session progress, never what was discussed.

How to show coaching ROI with Boon data
The portal does not calculate a dollar ROI, because a credible figure needs your own business data. It reports the first two layers of an ROI case, participation and measured change, at the program level, so you can set them next to your retention, promotion, and engagement numbers.
For the method, see how to measure coaching ROI. For how other coaching providers and tools report outcomes, see the coaching ROI measurement tools comparison.
Frequently asked questions
Does Boon have a coaching ROI dashboard?
Yes. Boon customers sign in to a live portal that reports coaching usage, NPS, coach satisfaction, wellbeing scores, coaching themes, and, for Grow programs, competency growth from matched before and after assessments.
Does Boon calculate a dollar ROI for coaching?
No. The portal reports the measures that feed an ROI case: participation, satisfaction, wellbeing, and competency growth. A credible dollar figure also needs your own retention, promotion, or performance data, so Boon reports at the program level for you to combine with those numbers.
Can I export Boon coaching reports?
Yes. Admins can export a PDF Coaching Impact Report, filtered by time period and program, with key metrics, a monthly sessions trend, top areas of growth, top coaching themes, and anonymized participant quotes. Grow, Exec, Together, and Adapt programs can also export a session CSV.
Can HR see what employees talk about in coaching?
No. The portal shows coaching themes in aggregate and never shows session content. Boon does not record or transcribe sessions, and individual survey answers are not shared with the employer.
What does Boon report for Scale, its coaching program for every employee?
Scale reports adoption, sessions booked and completed, repeat users, sessions per user, NPS, coach satisfaction, and satisfaction, productivity, and work-life balance compared with the starting baseline. Scale reporting is anonymous at the individual level.
How do I measure the ROI of a coaching program?
Measure in layers: participation first, then outcomes measured before and after (such as competency or wellbeing scores), then the link to business measures such as retention and promotion. Boon reports the first two layers in the portal.
